CONNECT 👉Defining the problem, identifying the scope and finally, organising the design roadmap to bring out 100% of every project.
Purposefully, aesthetically, innovatively, honestly & down to the last detail. I’m a fan of Dieter Rams.
App-based, web-based, algorithm-heavy or design-forward… decisions made prior are actualised by myself & my team
I released my first app when I was in sixth form (age 16/17) but I was digitally-tinkering around before that.
I've been working in tech ever since: my own projects, as part of companies or as a consultant. I’ve won a few awards here and there too but really the main point here is that is I really like what I do & I do it well.
You’ve heard the saying
right? Well it played on my mind during isolation. Friends would advise focussing on a single thing. "Are you trying to do too much? Maybe just stick to dev work", I’d say to myself. It never really sat right. I really loved the other aspects.
Only fairly recently did I discover the ending of the quote…:
And that was all the justification I needed. Design, dev, research? Gimme it all.

This site was newly launched and I’m currently still prepping this bit.
It’s worth noting that in some places around the world (these are magical places) there are people who encapsulate all these skills – spanning project management to design to software development. I call them unicorns. Don’t hold out hope that you’ll ever find one – but if you do, grab them.
I’m early riser, I quite enjoy working & am fairly flexible. I’ve worked with super-agile startups and larger corporate entities so don’t normally have issues fitting in with teams of varying cultures.
I’m currently based in London 🇬🇧 (GMT+0) but all of this COVID isolation has got me thinking about a less geographically… static… lifestyle.
Oh stop. I was born in South Africa 🇿🇦, hopped about as a youngster in Australia 🇦🇺 and spent the rest in England🏴. I’ve met many people from varying backgrounds and cultures and I enjoy being part of diverse & cross-functional teams.
As you can hopefully tell, one of the overarching messaging pieces on this site is that the scope of what I do is wide enough to encompass different roles and sectors. These have different market rates and so my rate can vary depending on what’s required.
In general, I tend toward arrangements where a range of skills spanning these sectors are required and so – normally – a blanket rate is agreed, this is around £750 per day. This can vary of course but I always like to know a ballpark when looking to work with people so wanted to add one for myself here.
Probably, yeah. I would say 'definitely' but it depends on, for example, if you have something built already. If it’s built in something I don’t have experience in and you just need dev work then I’m not the option. But I can definitely help with the rest, I’ve managed dev teams and products in general so I guess that would probably be a yes too.
Anyways, there’s one easy way to find out.
